The ship blowing up is a metaphor for the ror of the character. It's amazing how much him finally confinaly igniting the genesis device to self destruct the ship, to kill kirk and himself in the process. When people ask me, when do i think a script is done, i always say the same thing,. which is when you feel like your main character has been through a journey they can't go back from. They both have arts that end exactly where they should, and its nits and, and that's the thought process you need to have going into it.
