The Birth of the Deep State

By 1947, there's really only two great powers left. And so lend lease was given on the terms that that would be taken away. We understood that quote unquote free markets really meant that it was our time to take over. The nukes were totally gratuitous and people like six to seven of those five star generals felt they were either unnecessary, immoral or both. This kind of power should be seen as this kind of American Deep State which is going to assert itself in violent ways against any sort of democratic decision making.
