Pension does a much better job than perhaps in stuff like gravity's rainbow of fleshing out his character is fully but I mean in this first chapter you know. true he is much more important to the plot of buying land but on the same at the same time I do think that muchos presence in this book is very important He calls it boilerplate I think he just basically says like I wrote it because I needed money at the time well he also he calls it kind of he implies it it's kind of like a bloated short story at one point doesn't he.
