The Importance of Intent in the Dissent
Colby: I think it has to do with intent um that's kind of what it all boils down to. Some judges say ah he intended in the fleet others say a reasonable person would find this a reasonable explanation and they would not be deceived so i love the fact that they're even bringing up the intent of this statement because that tells me that going forward we'll be able to look into that. Colby: One thing that's interesting to me is that when you read legal opinions and they're doing statutory construction or contract construction frequently you're in the middle of a an english class - how we understand sentences and the predicates.
