The Uphill Battle to Get a Computer Science Degree

The UChicago Masters Program in Computer Science is very specifically attempting to prepare people for, I mean, this sounds bad, but like real life computer science jobs. The MPCS wants current practitioners teaching in the program in languages that people get paid to write today and bringing in knowledge from the actual companies that students might want to work for. And so they have dealt relatively effectively, I think, with a lot of the challenges associated with getting people who already have jobs to teach night school.
