OSINT is a tool that can be used for all sorts of different things. For example, I've used OSINT to figure out who my competitor was and what they were doing in the market. There are tons of sources that you can use for prospecting - looking at job ads or even phone trees. A lot of law enforcement doesn't have a ton of training on-case searches so NCPTF provides some good advice there.
