The official definition of mental fitness by Robinson at AL 2015 is the modifiable capacity to utilize resources and skills to flexibly adapt. The brain controls everything that the body does, but it is absolutely dependent on the health of the body for it to function well. "Do not expect to have really good mental health if you're not putting in the work around these fundamentals," she says.
