How Much of an Email Is Too Long?
"I'm not going to write a lengthy email because I'm trying to optimize for that person replying back to me, almost like a chat," he says. "Even if I'm not giving an expansive answer, I might try and give a two or three sentence answer with the hopes that that person is still at their computer ... So it's top of mind for me." If someone isn't responding over email but they have a mobile number in their signature, you'll go to text. He also thinks about time of day and when emails are coming in.
