The Importance of Faith in Second Kings
There's two quick stories I want to highlight here about in Second Kings. The king of Syria is armed against the city in which Elisha and his young servant where they are. In this graced moment, God working through Elisha allowed the young man to see the reality of the situation. And he, what does he do? He fights even for unfaithful Israel. It reminds me of the siege the Romans did against Jerusalem against the Jews in the year 60s and 70s. So by allowing these stories to transform our minds, we can actually come into contact with them.
