Pros and Cons of Studying CS and Being in the Field?

CS is a very broad degree to get in because there's different applications for like machine learning, AI, data science. In college, you're not really taught the fundamentals of CS and you're kind of told to go out on your own and learn it. So graduating out of college, it's hard to figure out what you want to do with that. And I think that's one of the biggest cons of getting a degree right now.
