The Difference Between Me and Might
The name jerk may come from the Spanish for dried meat, turkey. May is another modal verb which indicates that something is possible. It could also refer to the process of jerking, making holes in the meat so that the flavour of the spices can be absorbed more easily. Jerk cooking is popular in Caribbean and West Indian communities all over the world. So why not spice up your life and give it a try?
