Call of Duty 4: The Watershed Moment

I feel like the big turning point again is Call of Duty 4. After that, it became just accepted that every shooter had to have some kind of XP slash perk slash whatever system. It's just you can't have video games without RPGs. I think it's an integral and very historic part of the medium.
