People wonder what their partners are doing in the office. And I think that's related to an assumption in mono normativity, which is that the presence of other partners would somehow corrupt the relationship you have with your lover. So because the bar is so high, a lot of things that maybe shouldn't be threats suddenly registrous threats, and they eventually maybe become threats.
