The Passion for Mathematics

In the French system, we got tracked very early. So roughly at the equivalent of ninth grade, I was tracked into the math track. My parents both had told me they liked math and were having a conversation maybe when I was in ninth, tenth grade. And my thought was they used to love math and they don't remember how to do that. That's so sad to forget the math you have learned. I hope that never happens to me.
