The Importance of Resistance to Ideal Theory
The book is about what's called the ideal, non-ideal theory debate in political philosophy. Some theorists associate themselves more with Machiavelli or Rousseau but they often mean not overly moralized theorizing. So I was surprised to see arguments against that view taken for granted and how it still came onto the table as a central strand of my work.
