Allan Pinkerton - The Hero of the Old West

Allan pinkerton was the first full-time detective in chicago, Illinois. He became a hero for busting counterfeit coin operations and other crimes. The agency expanded to include branches in new york and philadelphia. Pinkerton men also acted as under cover cops, often feeding information on criminal syndicates directly to regular police. In 18 92 they shifted more into industrial espionage and infiltrating labor movements.
