The Importance of Having a GUI on Your Server
I don't want to tell anybody you shouldn't use a rel clone or whatever distro you felt most comfortable with. But it comes in very handy to have a graphical interface available for lack of a better word, normy IT support types. There's a big chunk of customers that are using rel, a big chunk that you use your went to and then the rest are all free BSD. And so I have to be able to operate in all three of those and maintain my comfort level and all of them. If and when it gets to the point that I can no longer deal with canonical's decisions for Ubuntu's direction that directly harm me, Debian's my escape route.
