The Voting Rights Act is kind of in this Schrodinger's position where it continues to exist, but the U.S. Supreme Court has basically suspended its operation because they kind of know what they're going to do with it,. The case that Justice Dalit and Justice Krossey are talking about is the original petition case that I was referring to earlier. And just another word about way redistricting works: First you draw the districts, then after the districts are drawn, there is a separate new challenge against them.
