The test for us is whether or not we're going to choose a kind of identity politics that recognizes the way that people who are not us are oppressed and exploited. I do think that this argument that that Black Lives Matter was a leader less movement, it was always leaders. The question is who are those leaders accountable to and what's the structure that allows leadership to be shared and more expansive.
