The Difference Between El Nino and La Nina

El Nino is a quirk of geography. It's the El Nino Southern Oscillation, which occurs when solar energy comes from the sun into the Pacific Ocean. La Nina is the other end of the cycle; that's where it's warmston, wettest in Asia, coolest and driest in the Americas. There are enough variables in that seesaw that it's not perfectly predictable like a clockwork. So these things are much more variable.
