The Importance of Confidence

Hope is the firm certainty you have about something for which you've got good evidence, but it's not sitting right in front of you. The Christian view is that Jesus came and said, If you don't believe what I'm telling you, at least believe on the evidence of these miracles. And we can gain that kind of confidence, but we have to actually have done some work to understand why this is evidentially true.
