Education Bookcast

CHAPTER

The Invisible Hook

Peter Leeson is an economist, and he says this is an unusual economic analysis because pirates weren't selling anything. So it's kind of odd in a way to think about economics when they're not really productive. But then I suppose many, many different classes of people in history have been parasitic. It's also interesting to see how self interest has an effect on cooperation here. And if it weren't for that, maybe they would never have come together in the first place.
