Why Science Isn't Defined

This comes up a lot when we talk about basically avoiding so-called parachute science, making sure that researchers work with communities. And Jassenoff brings up the point that scientists are inherently motivated to advance knowledge at all costs. That's part of the reason she says, scientists should not be defining the ethical horizons of what we do. Not everybody is pointing back to Vonnegut and saying, this guy made me think about this or this philosophy is inherited from him, but we can see that what he was thinking about when he wrote this book is still important today.
