Why do you think horror has the reputation of being one of the lowest art forms? Because it is a sort of select audience who like to be scared. And there are so many good ones, but because it's such a cheap format to make any filmmaker thinks that they can make a horror film and not many people actually can do it well. But unless you've got the budget to make it look good, it's not always going to work.
