Kundalini and the Chakra System
There are states of mind very similar in intent, purpose and appearance to what we would describe as a nosis state. In Tibetan Buddhism, there are groups that use variations of prana yama for tummo, which is the generation of inner heat. There's also among some the belief that Kundalini state can be transmitted from guru to student. I think it's spiritual advancement and enlightenment. You got to seek it on your own, knowing that you may never achieve it.
