Are There Conflicts of Interest in Clinical Practice Guidelines?

The key is to minimize conflict of interest as much as possible. The less influence there is on those valued judgments, the more trustworthy a guide line will be. It's really difficult to put together a panel of experts who have absolutely no financial interests in the work they're doing. Many organizations publish their conflicts of interest explicitly and you can read them even in the appendix.
