The Principles of Creative Freedom
The principles are unity, variety, harmony, contrast, repetition, variation, gradation and balance. When you have this internalization of these elements and principles when you begin to work you're not thinking about those things so much it's more like learning scales on a piano. The artist is has a vision or the artist is trying to represent something that they can see either seeing it visually a thing that they're looking at or seeing it in their imagination both ways you can paint.
