The Importance of Drawing Cards in Magic

When I first started playing magic in 1994, everybody wanted to draw a card more than anything else. It was clearly obvious that they understood that drawing a card was fundamentally important for entrenching their strategy and enjoying the game more. But it took a little bit of time for that to be understood in the community. People gradually came to understand that if you could make your opponent lose additional resources for fewer cards that you were expending to do that,that it got you further ahead.
