How Did You Become a Fund Manager?
Vinod Kosla: I kind of felt like if you're going to raise money and do a fund, you have to know and love your business. And it's like you got to understand the entire end-to-end value delivery system of how value creation happens. So by the time I went in, I had a pretty good idea of what I thought we needed to do. The basic idea was $500,000 at a time, 70% upfront, 30% in reserves,. which people thought was crazy risky, but I would go with that strategy over and over again.
