How to Prevent Pre-on Diseases
The FDA has approved a blood test for helping pregnant people figure out if they're at risk for pre-clampsia. Pre-on diseases can be completely recapitulated in a mouse and are exactly the same disease that humans will get from a pre-on disorder as well. It's really changing the way we think about proteins and how they function and what they really do. Having some of the things that happen with pre-aclampsy earlier is super important because you can have kidney failure, liver failure or seizures.
