I'm very interested in that idea of where you get up and try again. I think it was informed by my school, which wanted its girls to do well. The other was the church, which I was very devoted to in my early years. So I've got the school and the church, and then I've got society. We've got the class society. And there's now a sense born of what I regard as a marvelous social revolution - free education, free health with the welfare state. But somehow people's lives are evolving into a sense that they're entitled to things as of right. That really is quite hard to marry with the fact that we have different degrees of skill,.
