Barbara Rosenblatt reads Grace Paley's story Somewhere Else. In the story, Paley seems to be affectionately making fun of a certain kind of do-good political fervor that was reasonably common at the time and doesn't exist in that form now. The amazing thing about the story is that it still operates just the way it would have in 1978 when it was published.
