Federated learning is being used to solve batch problems in healthcare drug discovery. The European Union put out a call for proposals a couple of years ago and then gave out a bunch of money to have people set up essentially these federations. So you as a company whose core competency is not machine learning can ship federated learning either into production or you can pull with other companies who might be your competitors.
