The Economic Challenges of Starting a Currency Union With Russia
Moscow wants to start its own version of the euro which would either be used by the CIS nations or more likely just the six nations of the CSTO being Russia, Belarus Armenia Kazakhstan get a Gestain and Tajikistan. Moscow has real problems with doing that it's long been since the late 1990s technically been working on a currency union with Belarus but hasn't gone anywhere. The countries in that case other CSTO members or CIS countries very few of them would actually be interested in doing so for the sanctions implications.
