The Beginning of My Career as an Engineer
"I started out, you know, with an every recording studio in those days, they'd call you a general or. But that didn't mean that you're the boss is the opposite. So one day my boss, his name was Royce Akala, who owned the studio and his client was John Lennon," he says. "They called me up on Easter Sunday and they said, we need you to come in and answer the phone." And so I'm Catholic and I live in Brooklyn and I'm Italian. He adds: "So I felt I was so insecure that I felt I got to work harder than the next guy for me to get anywhere"
