Not all journals are created equally. Just like universities, some are considered more tegos than others. The the industry and the peopless ted with it have codified this hierarchy into something they call the impact factor. People get a being rigorous academics by getting published in prestigious journals. But you would have a hard time convincing someone that devry a degree from devris is as prestigious as a degree from yale or harvard.
