Teaching Kids to Write Shorthand

For kids with messy or handwriting, I make sure that they get planners that have the lines in it. And then if their handwriting is legible, then they can get whatever boxes they want on the monthly boxes. And then I teach them how to write shorthand. M means math. P32 means page 32. One through 16 odd means, or even, well, I guess it would be one through 15. It means two problems,. The odd only or whatever. So I do teach them towrite shorthand. Some of these kids who really want to cut corners, which is efficient, but their shorthand is too short. They don't even know what they wrote.
