In a Rotterdam study, there were shifts in the gut microbiome towards more inflammatory microbes that then increase the likelihood of depression. People who were depressed had these shifts in their microbiome. Another study looked at what is the effect of diet on stress and found it was significantly lower if people ate fiber rich foods. And again, anybody who's listening to this, you know, and I think this is the sometimes the problem with and what I wanted to address with my book: Find out what your gut type is to see if that advice is right for you at this moment. And if not, this is the way you need to eat.
