Asset Management Capitalism

The term 'asset manager capitalism' is increasingly being used to refer to the phenomenon represented most obviously by BlackRock State Street Vanguard. The three asset managers and some others like Fidelity are kind of in broadly in the same tier. They increasingly own a very large proportion of the shares of essentially all listed companies, not just in the US, but around the world. And so typically an S&P 500 company now, something like 60%.
