David Loy is perhaps one of the few academic stroke practitioners to approach the topic of non-duality in a comprehensive manner. His 1980s text on the topic attempts to look at whether meeting points and diversions exist between Buddhism, Vedanta and Taoism. It's always better to see them as relational pairs that create opportunity and tension, openings and closures. The Galupa school of Tibetan Buddhism is built on debate, after all, linguistic analysis, conceptual play and interplay,. And it has produced one of history's most sophisticated analyses ofnon-duality through the incredible work of Nagajuna and others.
