The Power of Language Recovery

i've used a lot of work from poets from the street street language hip-hop and also turn to the writings of people who have had language taken away from them. i hope they think about what we're saying critically as well as feel their bodies as they're listening to the podcast these are these are not mutually exclusive domains you knowYeah i think one of my um one of my abiding themes that i've emphasized in my teaching without thinking about it so much is i've really had to help graduate students recover language for the body but they've been taught out of it which just doesn't do justice to their experience.
