Players do get hit by accident because, as we said in the question prior, pitchers do not actually have total control. But you're asking me, who gives the news to the pitcher? What they're supposed to, that is the manager. All the position players are aware of what the strategy is. It's not like a secret just between the pitcher, catcher and front office. Everybody knows.
