Is This a Little Bit of White Feminism?

The case was brought by a woman who cared for confederate soldiers during the civil war, and she was staunchly against enfranchisement of black people and former slaves. She resigned from her position in the missouri association when they joined the faction of the women suffrage movement that supported the ratification of the fifteenth amendment. The court is embracing a narrow reading of the privileges and immunities clause, saying that the clause does not add to the privileges or immunities of citizenship. It simply gives an additional protection for those that already existed.
