There are other writers mining the same ground, they will be sometimes called political science fiction or utopian science fiction that's a very important strand. I and some others MacLeod for sure would represent the left wing of that effort. The novel was stayed healthy in science fiction when it was unhealthy or literary fiction. So one of the things that's happening with ministry for the future is the power of the novel to discuss the totality has been brought back into focus.
