The Japanese System of Healing and Combat
Taoist and Buddhist teachings were right at home among the local beliefs of the Japanese, which can be traced back to the indigenous Ainu people. With the arrival of Ki came new understandings of healing and of combat, not dissimilar to its integration in Korea. When it comes to the healing side of Ki, there are concepts from Japan that we must turn our attention to, which are shiatsu and Reiki.
