The study found no relationship between the change in my ofibrular area and the total amount of hypertrophy that occurred. This opens the door for psarco plasmic hypertrophy being a possibility, according to Dr Andrew Wexler. He says fibre growing is more willing to grow because there's more energetic stress inside it. And so when you exercise your fibres are burning more energy than they would otherwise be if not exercising them at such high intensity. But wexler: "I don't find that argument particularly compelling"
