The Origin of Time in Humans

The neolithic revolution is where anthropologists say the concept of time as being a thing outside of ourselves starts to appear within humans. In order to have surpluce, hunter gatherers had to stay put - but with agriculture they would move all the time for their needs. And also, farming give humans the experience of having a surplice and then needing to plan out via time how many months this wheat will feed me. With writing, you then get the need for recording history in cities such as egypt or mesopotamia. This allows families to express their entitlement to power through memory.
