The Marwadiization of Hinduism
In your book, you talk about the philanthropy and then you say, through such initiatives Marwadis change the Chhatria Brahman interface of Hindu society to a Veshya Brahman interface. And it seems to me that what was really happening here was a marriage of convenience where the Brahmans need the patronage of the Marwadiis. It's interesting how the proximate impetus for the Gita press actually comes from an argument within the Marwada community.
