According to marxis theory, there is a fixed human nature with certain discoverable human desires. Those who understand the position are in the best position to know what will advance humanity forward. The only way in which this can be found is by certain persons,. not by everyone, everywhere, but by persons in a certain privileged situation. These people alone understand what it is that will satisfy the particular cravings or desires of the class which is progressive.
