The Black Fortress and the War Between the Kingdoms of Kraal and the Beast

We don't even know if the sun will rule krawl, let alone a galaxy. I have a lot of questions about this as well because we never see an enormous force of slayers. We gon have to fill on all these blanks. So i just have a hard time imagining, like, what dos, what is conquered territory look like? How does he hold territory? Is it people going about their normal business, but having to harvest corn for the beast or build a space laver that points at a plan they've never heard of?
